With great support and coordination efforts of HK Housing Authority, a Joint Concrete Workshop involving all key construction industry stakeholders was held in HKHA HQ on 24 June 2016. On this significant occasion, stake holding participants included HKCMA RMCC member companies, HKCA Piling Contractors Committee (HKCAPCC) and market leading testing laboratories. Primary objective of this first unprecedented workshop was to seek ongoing improvements for concrete supply chain sustainability and agree on consistent standard for concrete quality. The workshop was actively participated and positively received by the attendees with tremendous support from Ms Ada Fung, Deputy Director of Housing (Construction, Development) and chief, senior structural engineers from her team. Encouragingly, the whole workshop (from 2 pm till 5:30 pm) was systematically conducted and moderated with key issues openly addressed, ironed out with workable solutions thereafter. All stake-holding participants were immensely pleased with the fruitful end results and deliverables which were jointly achieved throughout the event. ...
