Ambrose LINN

Chief Executive

Hong Kong Construction Materials Association


Mr. Ambrose Linn is newly appointed as Chief Executive of Hong Kong Construction Materials Association Limited. He is acting as spokesman for construction materials industry and liaison with relevant Departments within HKSAR Government. For the challenging times ahead, Mr. Linn is to fortify much closer bondage among all members and further diversify HKCMA’s membership base comprising other building material players.

Mr. Linn is a veteran in logistics industry with over 20 years of well-rounded affluent experience in integrated demand, supply, value chain management and air/ocean/road/multimodal distribution services as well as technology based customer oriented IT infrastructure, whilst adding value to the strategic logistics development and entrepreneurial management of the multinational LSP companies he has run. His solid success footprints cover locally and regionally within Asia Pacific and Greater China.

At present and even now, Mr. Linn is the honorary Program Advisor for Hong Kong Vocational Training Council VTC and member of their Logistics/Supply Chain Advisory Board. Besides, he has also volunteered to teach for VTC as part-time Senior Lecturer in related Supply Chain Management (SCM) discipline. Since year 2008, Mr. Linn has been officially appointed as member of HKSAR Government’s Logistics Development Council with the aim to promote HK’s logistics industry and Asia Pacific air transport hub status through his extensive experience. As recognition of his professionalism, he is also a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT).

Joseph CHEE

Mr. Joseph Chee is the Executive Director of Galaxy Entertainment Group Limited and the Managing Director of the Construction Materials Division as well as a member of the Executive Board of the Company.

Mr. Chee holds a Master degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Quarrying in the UK and has more than 30 years of broad experience in the construction materials industry including operations and management technical and quality assurance, environmental protection, commercial and strategic planning. He served as a member of the Working Group on Construction Waste of the Provisional Construction Industry Co-ordination Board from 2004 to 2006. He was also the Chairman of The Institute of Quarrying in the UK (Hong Kong Branch) from 1998 to 2000 and the Chairman of Hong Kong Contract Quarry Association from 2002 to 2008. He was re-elected as the Chairman of Hong Kong Contract Quarry Association in 2011 and is currently a member of Pneumoconiosis Compensation Fund Board.

Mr. Chee was elected as a member of the 11th Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference in December 2012.

Kwok Keung CHAN

Mr. K.K. Chan has been involved with the construction materials industry in Hong Kong and Macau for over 35 years. He has a rich experience on the commercial, operation, and management side of the industry. Mr. Chan is now the Managing Director of Continental Cement and Gypsum Co., Ltd, Hong Kong Concrete Co., Ltd, Hong Kong - China Concrete Co., Ltd, and Macau Concrete Co., Ltd.

David Hai Bo CHEN

Dr David Chen is an Associate Director and the Head of Southern Region of K Wah Construction Materials, responsible for all business (Aggregate, Asphalt, Concrete, GGBS, and Precast) in Hong Kong, Macau and PRD in Mainland China.

Dr Chen is the Chairman of the Institute of Quarrying (Hong Kong Branch) (2015-2017), who holds a PhD degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Aalborg in Denmark and is a Chartered Engineer of the UK Engineering Council.

Dr Chen has worked for and held senior technical and managerial positions in international engineering consultancy firms from Europe, Fortune 500 Company from the USA and major development company from China, on various projects of investment, infrastructure and development, including water, wastewater, solid waste, highway, energy and property.

Robert Chung Kwok LAU

Mr. Robert Lau is an Executive Director of China Resources Cement Holdings Limited. He is also a Director and General Manager of Redland Concrete Limited.

Mr. Lau obtained a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from the University of Hong Kong in 1979 and has over 30 years’ experience in reorganization, assurance and advisory services with international accounting firms and in serving as financial controllers and chief financial officers of listed companies.

Mr. Lau is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada.

Kelvin Ngai Fai LAU

Mr. Kelvin Lau is a registered professional engineer, holding a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with Honors from University of London, England. Mr. Lau has over 30 years of experience in construction industry. He has been practiced in the Hong Kong Government Public Works Departments, local and international engineering consultant firms. He is a Fellow Member of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Mr. Lau is recently appointed as the Executive Director of the Golik Holdings Limited in August 2015, overlooking the manufacturing operations, marketing strategy planning and overall management of the Concrete Division of the Group.

Eddy Pak Chung Tsang

Mr Eddy Tsang is the Chief Executive Officer of CKI Materials - Green Island Cement (Holdings) Limited, Green Island International Limited, Green Island Environmental Limited and Anderson Asia (Holdings) Limited. Apart from his role in Hong Kong and Mainland China, he is also a Director of EnviroNZ, a member company of CKI Group which is a vertically integrated waste management company that has national coverage in New Zealand.

Prior to joining the Cheung Kong Group in 2005, Mr Tsang has held directorship in numerous publicly listed companies of various sectors. He has also worked for an international accountancy firm in both Australia and Hong Kong for over ten years, where he gained solid and professional experience in Finance and Accounting in his early career life.

Mr Tsang holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. With his extensive involvement with the construction materials industry, Mr Tsang has been admitted as a fellow member of the Institute of Quarrying in the UK and a Director of the Hong Kong Construction Materials Association.

Adrian Mark TOWNSON

In the early years of his career Adrian worked in the UK on the commercial side of the Construction Industry, gaining valuable experience across the civil engineering field on infrastructure projects with a strong emphasis towards Asphalt surfacing, on Motorways and Dual Carriageways and all 3 runways at Heathrow International Airport.

Arriving in Hong Kong in mid1997 via a UK consultancy, Adrian was involved in asphalt surfacing projects at the new International Airport, accounting for over 750,000 tonnes of asphalt surfacing to roads, car parks, runways and taxiways. His consulting work continued after the Airports completion for numerous clients in the asphalt and civil engineering industry. In 2002 Adrian joined the Pioneer-Asphalt Surfaces Joint Venture to oversee the surfacing works at Container Terminal No.9 Contract at Tsing Yi where 270,000 tonnes of asphalt was completed on the roads and terminal itself. Adrian joined Asphalt Surfaces direct in 2004, where he now manages all company operations in Hong Kong as General Manager.

Adrian is also a Director of AK Asphalt Limited, managing the Company’s various operations and interests at the Hong Kong International Airport, and is the current Chairman and Director of the Hong Kong Asphalt Pavement Association Limited. Adrian holds a graduate certificate in Pavement Technology, is a Member of the Institute of Asphalt Technology.

Ricky Chiu Ho WONG

Mr. Ricky Wong is a veteran in building materials field in Hong Kong and China for over 30 years and has an extensive experience in cement and concrete operation.

He is now the Managing Director of Score (Holdings) Ltd. and the Executive Director of Yue Xiu Concrete Co., Ltd.

Mr. Wong holds a Master Degree in Business Administration.

Arthur Chun Mo WONG

Mr. Arthur Wong was graduated from Oregon State University and awarded Bachelor Degree of Science (Industry Engineering).

Since 1977, Mr. Wong has established the trading business of building materials in line with logistics including land and marine transportation to develop an infrastructure for distribution channels. He is the pioneer in accomplishing the logistic hub between Mainland China and Hong Kong.

Mr. Wong is now the Managing Director of Wealth Bridge Trading Co. Ltd. and Everbest Logistics Co. Ltd. He is also the Chairman of Hong Kong River Sand Association Ltd.

Vincent Chun Wai YU

Mr. Vincent Yu is the Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Construction Materials Limited; a joint venture company between Cheung Kong Infrastructure and HeidelbergCement, with operations in Hong Kong and the Guangdong Province in the People’s Republic of China.

Mr. Yu holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering. He has over 28 years of experience in the construction materials industry with previous operational and executive management positions with Pioneer Concrete Hong Kong, Hanson Hong Kong and Anderson Concrete Limited.

Mr. Yu is also the Chairman of Ready Mixed Concrete Committee of HKCMA.
